The goal of the Community Health and Wellness Program is to connect African and Caribbean immigrants and refugees to health and wellness centers and services, while supporting policy reforms which remove barriers to healthcare. The core values and assumptions of the program are that African and Caribbean immigrants and refugees face multiple and unique barriers in accessing healthcare and that improved health outcomes are critical to immigrant and refugee families’ success.
